Over the upcoming weeks, Swing Vote magazine will be taking a comprehensive examination of the impact of the Recovery Act funding arriving in Colorado from the perspective of the business owners pursuing these contracts.
Colorado is expected to receive approximately $3 billion in funding, benefits and services from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This estimate does not include tax relief for individuals and businesses, some federal appropriations or competitive grants.
Jackson Construction was started almost fifty years ago. The founder, Robert Jackson worked in highway pavement construction in the early 1940's. After serving in World War II he used some of the skills he learned from his experience to obtain part-time work while attending the University of Denver. After completing his education, Bob worked for the federal government and the City and County of Denver, Colorado. However, he never gave up his passion for working in the construction industry.
Bob sat down with Swing Vote to discuss several topics of general concern with the Recovery Act funding now arriving in Colorado. Shown below are the videos from our visit with the legendary construction contractor, Bob Jackson.
