Mike Lux is the co-founder and president of Progressive Strategies, a Washington-based political consulting firm; chair of the Board of American Family Voices; and a regular columnist for the Huffington Post. In 2007, he helped launch the popular blog, OpenLeft.com. Mr. Lux has a new book, The Progressive Revolution: How the Best in America Came to Be. In his book, Lux shows how progressives have time and again been instrumental in creating positive change, whether in the realm of civil rights, electoral democracy, civil liberties, women's rights, or economic fairness.

Mr. Lux served on the Clinton-Gore campaign and on their presidential transition team. Mike served as Special Assistant to President Clinton for Public Liaison in the White House, and was also named to the Obama-Biden Transition Team. He also played a role in helping launch the Center for American Progress and Air America.
