Reprints and Permissions
Since its founding in 2003, Swing Vote Magazine has been one of the most authoritative and informative guides as to what is happening with people in Colorado and elsewhere -- in politics, arts, business, society, entertainment and sports.
Written permission is required for any form of reproduction of any Swing Vote pages, issues, pictures, audio or video.
Permission is required to post electronic versions of articles on Web sites or on internal networks. If requesting permission to include an article on a company's internal network, include the number of individuals who will have access to the article.
One individual copy of an article may be made for personal use without contacting Swing Vote.
All requests for the reuse of Swing Vote copyrighted material must be submitted in writing. Requests can be made via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All requests must include:
- The name and mailing address of the person requesting permission
- Name of the publication
- Edition number, copyright or publication date of title
- The issue, section, pages, photos, audio or video to be reproduced
- The intended number of copies to be reproduced
- Statement of purpose of use, including name and location of speaking events or website information
All requests for reuse must be approved by the Swing Vote Editorial Syndication Manager. Reuse permission is generally not granted for material until it has been published and available to subscribers for a minimum of 30 days.
A royalty fee will be required by Swing Vote in exchange for granting reprint permission for the use of Swing Vote's copyrighted material. The fee is determined by Swing Vote's Syndication Department.
Any time reuse of Swing Vote material is requested by someone who will use the material as something that will be sold, a royalty fee is charged. This includes material that is sold, but also associated with a program where a contributor is speaking.
